Tuesdays tips

Hello everyone! No tutorial to share today ... but a couple of tips from me... I have done up a little journal page to show you the difference in colouring the same image.. from a basic approach to a more advanced approach! I've used my new Birthday Mae stamp.. another gorgeous image drawn by Kristy Dalman of Some Odd Girl Stamps! This beauty is now available in the M4M store HERE!

So anyway... my tip is (as I have said before) that it's a great idea to keep a journal of the colours you like on an image... This goes one step further and shows the different levels of colouring the same image..

My Beginner approach is using only one colour/ marker for each colour on the image... some level of shading created from layering the one colour on top of itself.

My Intermediate approach is using a number of (2-3) colours within a colour family (eg. E31, E33, E35) to create more depth in the shading.

Mu advanced approach is using markers from a 'higher' colour family in order to create more contrast in the shading which creates much more depth and thus more interest and the image has more dimension.
