Good morning! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 

We had a fabulous time at the Papercrafts Festival.. seeing lots of old familiar faces and meeting many new ones! HUGE Thanks to all who came through the stand over the three days and supported our little business :) Here's a photo of our stand....

We had a lovely time chatting to some of the other stand owners ... and the team at Dekoda marketing did a great job organising another show and spacing us out when stands could not make it from Northern NSW and QLD. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the storms.

A character created by Jack Kirby (creator/co-creator of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men…to name a few) for DC Comics. Often used as an arch-nemesis for Superman/The Justice League.

Today we have another Wonder-ful drawing from Lucas to share with you and hopefully inspire you in creating with Copics :) There's not a lot of colours used in this one and yet such a great contrast and end result. the Flash - Wally West

Good afternoon, TODAY we have some more fabulous artwork from Justice Gillman to share with you....

It’s another comic-character - This time it’s a drawing of the Flash – Wally West.

It’s the same process as the last one:

1)       Pencil outlines

2)      Ink the face and hair, then add Copic Multiliner for darker patches/some outlines

3)      Ink the body, using the multiliners afterwards, and finishing with a white Posca marker for highlights.

SUPER MONDAY with Justice Gillman

Good afternoon, Hope you all had a great weekend!! We had a fun weekend in Orange with our classes at The Dragonfly Lounge (a great cafe/ 2nd hand bookstore  - and a must visit if you are ever in Orange :) 

NOW I'm super excited to introduce you to the next member of our Design Team ... 

Lucas ... aka. Justice Gillman

“I have been an avid comic-book reader and collector since I was about 8, and this meant that from an early age I would copy my favourite pictures and loved sketching as a way to relax. Two years ago my wife bought me a bunch of Copics for my birthday to encourage me to try something new (she had been very observant after I had raved about some art I had seen using copics). In my other life I am a high-school English teacher, so my art is very comic/pop-culture inspired, although recently I have been trying to experiment more widely with other reference material to try and improve my blending and representation of lighting.”

Look at this Marvellous artwork that he created over the weekend ... He included some process shots for you.

1)       Pencil sketch of rough outlines and features.

2)       Layering of Copics on the face first, then using the multiliner to add in some outlines of features after I have coloured them.

 3)       Colouring of the cowl, final white touches with the Posca marker.
