Colouring Clothes Tutorial

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well. It is Tracey here with a clothing colouring Tutorial. First I must say that I am not Copic Certified - this is just the way I do my colouring. This tutorial is very picture heavy so there won't be much writing.

Second Sammi has set us DT members with a colour challenge. We need to use E00, R20, and BG15 on a project so this has all of those challenge colours.

Supplies:
- TGF stamped in Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White card
- Markers (of course).

Blank image with skin coloured.
Start with BG18 on the jacket where you would have a shadow.
Now go over the BG18 with your BG15 and go out a little.
Build up more colour with BG13 but make sure you go over the already coloured area to blend.
With your BG11 do the same again. Blend all the coloured areas in with your BG11.
So that is the jacket.
I used the same colouring technique with the hat.
Now with your R37 put down some colour where there would be shadow.
Build up more colour with your R35.
More colour with R32.
Last colour for scarf and flower is R20. Blend it all with your R20.
Trim on the jacket and hat - started with R32.
Blend in R20.
Blend it all in with R00.
Buttons done the same.
The whole image coloured.
Here is the finished card.
Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E51, E21, E02
Hair: E37, E35, E33, E31
Jacket/hat: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11
Scarf, shoes, flower: R37, R35, R32, R20
Jacket trim and heart: R32, R20, R00
Shoe sole: C9

Thanks for showing us how you do this! That's why I should have more than a couple of the pen colors. I've been using the blender pen more and it just doesn't have the depth.
