Forest Elf

Isn't this little forest elf cute? Tracey who's on this DT and is owns Spesch Designer Stamps sent her to me, she also has so many other wonderful digital stamps to choose from. I must say this card is not the normal colourings I go for, so was really happy how it turned out, very natural.... I also sprayed it with shimmer mist, but the camera didn't pick it up.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Tracy

Still more pink!

Yep another pink card! And this card was made down to the wire!!! I have been away for the last week, so whipped up this card last night to show you how easy copics are to use! Just like colouring in when you were a kid! I couldnt tell you what image this is as one of my DT sisters sent it over, but she sure is cute.

Think Pink - Tickled Pink!

Well judging this card I would say more grey and pink!. This fortnight challenge is Colouring pink objects. So of course I had to try and make Lilith all sweet in a pink dress.. but clearly she isn't happy!.. Rather sulky looking... mmm reminds me of my daughter... anyway, enough rambling. As always I am amazed by the talent of Sammi's DT and are stunned that I am on it! Can't wait to see who's next!

Vintage Magnolia

I decided to do a vintage card using my distress inks around the outside and using my beloved copics to colour the image in soft pinks. Over the voil on her dress I used white Perfect Pearls. When this is used with light coloured copics, it really stands out as white and shimmery.. although it takes a bad photo and you cant see it!!. I love how this card turned out.

Have a great weekend and see you next week!

Colouring White - Skirt

Today is my turn to give you some inspiration on our "colouring white objects" challenge. I tend to colour any image I want to be white (like the skirt) with C0, C2, then I always add a hint of colour, like here I have added a tiny bit of B000 and R00 in some places on the skirt. I think it just adds a bit of depth to the image. Then to make it stand out even more I always use W0, 1 and 2 around edge of the image.

All week the girls have done a fab job of inspiring me.. I cant wait to see what the rest of the DT has for us to look at next week, and I ALWAYS look forward to seeing the creations all you readers enter for the challenge.

Hugs
Tracy

My first ever ATC

Yep, I kid you not!! This is the very first ATC I have ever done.. and loved it!. One again I am the lucky last DT member for Mad for Markers to post my little gem. I hope you have all joined in our challenge, and if you haven't, what are you waiting for?? You still have time to enter. There is a bonus at the end of this challenge... you have to send in your ATC to Sammi, then you will get one back in the mail from one of us Dt girlies, or maybe another lady who has entered the challenge. Will be time to stalk the postman! Hope those of you that have entered have enjoyed this challenge, I know I have.

Hi, it's Tracy here, and it's my turn at Mad for Markers blog to post a card. I found this image while cruising around in cyber world and decided to make a swing card! Yep I had the patience to cut her out and yes she really does swing! I do hope you will join us for our new challenge set next week. I look forward to seeing all your copic projects, you all inspire me so much.

Aaaa tisssueee

Get it??? Oh well, for those of you that are a bit confused by my sense of humour...
This fortnights challenge is to colour on something other than paper..EEKKK. Lucky for me my new Whiff of Joy "Unwell" stamps arrived... so yep, I inked one up and stamped on tissue paper. Next I layed coloured tissue on candle and wrapped wax paper around and scrunched at back so I could have a good hold on it while I heat gunned the front to get the tissue to melt into the candle! Its really that easy, and a nice pressie for someone who isn't feeling the best if its a scented candle.

Tutorial - Black Hair

Hello ladies, this is my very first post for Mad for Markers, and would you believe my very first tutorial.. nothing like jumping right in there boots and all! Let me just say that first off I am not Copic Certified like some of these lucky ladies here, this is just showing you how like to colour black hair.
Right so here we go... I tend to work from lightest to darkest. I have 6 images that show you the progression. First I colour with C0 for the highlights then work through to the darker shades - C2, C3, C6, and finally C8.
In the last image I have gone over the whole hair image using C0, to blend it all in together.
Sometimes I tend to add a hint of blue to the lightest colour to give it extra shine.
So... how painless was that? Hopefully this is off some help to someone who is just starting out in the copic world
Other copics used
