Some Friday Fun

Good morning!!

.. so it's been a while since we had some proper Friday Fun.. well this Friday I am going to give you a couple of challenges - perhaps you might want to do them over the weekend??

## CHALLENGE no.1 - Colour an image that is stamped in "light ink"
perhaps you have already done this?? If so you'll know what I am talking about... on her Facebook group for Make it Crafty ... Zoe challenged everyone to colour an image that was stamped in "light coloured" ink instead of black... I've done a few attempts and some images are easier than others.... so I am passing this challenge on to you all... I'd love to see your attempts so leave a comment with a link to your work :)

I made this card with Sweet Thinking Mae from Some Odd Girl... I have just sold out of this stamp but I do have more gorgeous Some Odd Girl clear stamps in stock and am waiting on another delivery... unfortunately the postie/ customs must have liked these stamps as they did not arrive :( So will have to wait a little longer for a new lot to come!!

she has been coloured with Copics of course... colours : Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E04
Hair/ Eyes: E00, E30, E31, E34, Greys: T5, 3, 1, RedViolets: RV63, 66 + custom mixed RV64
(I needed a middle one to make smooth blending EASIER.. so I made it up in a bottle + empty marker!

My other creation I'm sharing is the first attempt at this technique.. this time on a Creeper from The Greeting Farm ... I have not recorded the colours here BUT I do know that once again I've used those RV60s lol! so......

## CHALLENGE #2 - Use your favourite Copic colour (mine at the moment is RV63/66)

Leave a comment with links to your work for challenge #1 or #2 (or both of them?) so that we can come and see.. I will be sharing some entries on next weeks Friday posting!! :D

Have a lovely colourful weekend!!!
Sammi

PS. I forgot to mention bot images were stamped in Memento Ink - Angel Pink!

Colouring White - Skirt

Today is my turn to give you some inspiration on our "colouring white objects" challenge. I tend to colour any image I want to be white (like the skirt) with C0, C2, then I always add a hint of colour, like here I have added a tiny bit of B000 and R00 in some places on the skirt. I think it just adds a bit of depth to the image. Then to make it stand out even more I always use W0, 1 and 2 around edge of the image.

All week the girls have done a fab job of inspiring me.. I cant wait to see what the rest of the DT has for us to look at next week, and I ALWAYS look forward to seeing the creations all you readers enter for the challenge.

Hugs
Tracy

Skin and Hair - E000, 11, 31, 43, 44, R00
White Skirt - C0, 2, B000, R00
Top and flowers - R11, 20, 24, 27, 29, 81, G24

Sign up in the sidebar - linking your creation so we can all check it out!

We are thrilled to have the lovely and very talented CHANTELLE joining us this challenge as our Guest Designer... just look at this gorgeous ATC she has created...

and here is a bit more inspiration for you (created by Me - Sammi)

Aaaa tisssueee

Get it??? Oh well, for those of you that are a bit confused by my sense of humour...
This fortnights challenge is to colour on something other than paper..EEKKK. Lucky for me my new Whiff of Joy "Unwell" stamps arrived... so yep, I inked one up and stamped on tissue paper. Next I layed coloured tissue on candle and wrapped wax paper around and scrunched at back so I could have a good hold on it while I heat gunned the front to get the tissue to melt into the candle! Its really that easy, and a nice pressie for someone who isn't feeling the best if its a scented candle.

Copics used
E000, E31, E43, E15, E50
V12, V95
YR21
BV000, BV02.

Even More Feather Blending

Hi Louise here with really quick and easy card for you today, and totally late I know!
I have used one of the Fairytale Magnolias for this and one peice of Basic Grey 6x6 paper. I have added dew drops to the flowers with some glossy accents and added a little interest with some distress stickles in rock candy. My favourite thing about this card is how the feather blending (Y00 & RV00) on Tilda's dress matches the colours in the papers so well.
Don't forget to join in on our Feather Blending challenge and add your blog post link to Mr Linky in the right hand corner of the side bar.

Card Uses.....

BG Sultry Paper
Magnolia Image
Whiff of Joy Sentiment

Hair - E31, E33, E35
Skin - E02, E21, E50

Introducing Marcia...our Guest Designer!!

I’m Marcia and I live in Perth, Western Australia. I am married, have one Princess and work part time. I am also the owner of The Stamp Spot, an online store bringing overseas stamp companies to Australia. We currently have The Greeting Farm, Stampavie, My Favorite Things, Inky Impressions and Unity Stamps in store. Apart from the stamps, there are heaps of papers, ribbons and more.

I stamp, I scrap and I love to colour images. I started colouring when I became a SU demo a couple of years back and since leaving them, I went looking for something better to colour with – enter Copics. I’ve been like a kid in a lolly shop, so many colours, so many choices. I now understand about finding something good, and not wanting to go back!

When Sammi asked me to be her Guest Designer, I jumped at the chance. I met Sammi a couple of years back through blogging and we have both enjoyed the journey that papercraft has taken us on. I love her work and I am so excited to be able to share this time with her!

Hair: Y11, Y13, YR21
